Description
Lemongrass is a fast growing, tall, aromatic perennial grass that grows up to 1.5 metres in height. It is native to Asia, but is now cultivated mostly in the West Indies, Africa, and Tropical Asia.

Common Uses: Lemongrass is known for its invigorating and antiseptic properties. An excellent anti-depressant, it tones and fortifies the nervous system when used in an oil burner. An excellent pick me up when suffering from jet-lag and nervous exhaustion.
History: Traditional Indian medicine has used Lemongrass Essential Oil to treat infectious illness and fever.

 

Cautions: Avoid in glaucoma and with children. Use caution in prostatic hyperplasia and with skin hypersensitivity or damaged skin.
Never use pure oils on the skin without diluting, never use internally, keep away from children and eyes, always check if there are any medical issues which could cause a problem. Seek help if you have any doubts.
