I ordered this unrefined shea butter since the refined was out of stock for a long time. Unfortunately this can't be used in any of my formulations because of the extremely strong unpleasant smell. The colour is rather gray not yellow and the aroma far from creamy - it is very strong and acidic even. Nothing that i've experienced before with unrefined shea butter.

Did not expect this shea butter to have such a strong repulsive smell. Not to my taste.
Feeling disappointed
The butter came looking grayish and grainy. I have been ordering shea from a different supplier for 3 years and it was never grainy. There is no indication that this shea butter melted in transit. When I melted it together with mango butter, I was surprised that it melted BEFORE the mango. I used it to make my tried and tested body butter formula, and it came out looking more like lotion. All other ingredients were the same as before, only shea and mango butters were from this supplier. The "lotion" ended up becoming lumpy. The quality is good, I can use it, but it has no commercial value. Feeling disappointed...
Best on the Market
I have been buying Shea butter for over 10 years and from many different suppliers looking for the best I can get. I found it here about a year ago and won't buy from anywhere else. This beautiful raw unrefined shea butter is the best I have found available anywhere. I would recommend it to everyone. I go through 25kg in about 2 to 3 months
