Star Anise Essential Oil

Tree grows up to 12 metres high. Produces fruit which consists of 5-13 seed bearing follicles attached to the centre of the axis's.

History: Used in Chinese medicine for over 1300 years for its stimulation effect on the digestive system and for respiratory disorders. Used additionally in the East as a remedy for colic and rheumatism, and often chewed on after meals to sweaten the breath.


Cautions: Avoid use on sensitive skin and during pregnancy. Use in moderation.
